In 1990, Martine Cazeneuve replanted Paloumey, an estate with a prestigious quaternary gravel soil on Lagune plateau.
This estate was already a Cru Bourgeois in 1932 but has disappeared since.
Martine Cazeneuve had ambitious objectives : to acknowledge the contribution of soil and grape varieties and to lead Château Paloumey wines to the top.
She considers that the excellence of the vintages roots in a rigorous management of vine culture and wine-making.
The classification of Château Paloumey as a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in June 2003 rewarded her constant efforts.
Today the vintages rank among the fine wines of the appellation and they express elegance and wonderful length of fruit.
